Overview

Victoria Falls, locally known as Mosi-oa-Tunya meaning "The Smoke that Thunders," is one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World. Located on the Zambezi River at the border of Zambia and Zimbabwe, it is the largest curtain of falling water globally, spanning over 1.7 kilometers (1 mile) wide and plunging 108 meters (355 feet) into the gorge below.
