Kulamba

Kulamba is an annual ceremony of the Chewa people, held at Mkaika Palace in Katete District, Eastern Zambia. The ceremony serves to thank the ancestors, report on community issues, and honor the Paramount Chief Kalonga Gawa Undi.

• Chiefs' Gatherings: Sub-chiefs present tributes and reports to the paramount chief.
• Gule Wamkulu Dance: Performances by masked dancers representing spirits and ancestors.
• Cultural Exchange: Attended by Chewa people from Zambia, Malawi, and Mozambique.
